Description
Hi, we’re Van Moll. We’re crazy about beer, which is why we brew it. In 2013 we opened a brew pub in the heart of Eindhoven – our very own flavour lab where everyone can sample our creations. Best idea ever!
We try to delight daily with exciting new tastes and flavours. We experiment and balance, treading the fine line between bold and brazen, without going over the top. A fixed selection of core beers and a varied range of exceptional specials.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, that’s when the adventure really starts. We mix tradition and knowledge with a dash of confidence and cockiness to brew up the perfect party. And that’s exactly what it is: a party for the palate for all who dare.
Grote batches worden gebrouwen bij Lighttown Brewers, waar van Moll deel van uitmaakt.

Bottle at home. Clear amber with very big cream colored head. Quite some citrus up front, grassy, soft brown bread. Quite flowery and a light tart touch of lemon juice and berries. Taste is medium sweet too with soft bitter finish. Medium bodied with way too much carbonation. Because of the carbonation it’s actually hard to get the malt base from this beer. But what is not obscured by massible fizz on the palate is pretty nice.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy blonde color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma reminds me of yellow fruit mostly, apart from that it has some yeast and a slight touch of herbs or spices. Taste lightly malts, again yellow fruits, slightly yeast, a hint of citrus, citrus peel, a hint of pepper in the background, sweet-bitter with a slight fruitpeel sourish hint. Suitable body and carbonation. It’s an interesting beer, very well brewed imo. Quite like it. I added it as a Belgian Ale, but now I’ve tried it I would say it’s a (turbo [because of the 7.5% ABV]) saison.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Lightly hazy amber color, medium sized lightly creamy off-white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, vienna malts, a lightly sweet hint. Taste malts, vienna malts, lightly floral, a hint of sweet and sweet-bitter hops ending in a pleasant bitterness. Suitable body and carbonation. Easy drinkable, nice session beer. 7-4-8-4-15=3.8 -- Up by 0.1 when rerating September 8th 2017. Hops more pronounced. Nice.

Bottled 33cl (Saveur)
Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Sweet honeyish, pear aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor is similar than aroma: honey, pear, white pepper. Way too sweet, sweetness covers those American hops.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Murky red-brown to brown color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, brown malts and some red fruit. Taste malts, brown malts, red fruit, funky, slightly a sourish touch although, it’s not really sour, more like strong brett. Suitable body and carbonation.

Thanks to Joes for picking up this beer. 330 ml. bottle @ home. BBF 22/04/2017. Pale lightly hazy golden, sparkling, small white head. Lightly floral bitter nose, floral, lightly vegetable lemon peel & lemongrass nose, floral & vegetable mild bitterness with heavy, light sugar & sweetish basic wheat. Taste is sweetish white sugar wheat, light sweet dough with light bitter vegetable & floral lemon peel & lemon grass, sweetness starts dominating a bit after some time, sugar & wheat sweetness becomes more overt,… wheat becomes quite overt, in an overly carbonated kind of way. Carbonation is indeed a touch too high. Decent, a touch above average for the style of which I am granted not the biggest fan.

Aroma is quite sweet with bourbon whiskey. Body a bit too thin and it’s a bit too gassy. This inhibits the flavour a little bit.
