Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours very hazy Amber brown with a big off white head. Aroma of orange peel, resinous hops, grapefruit and some light caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Thanks for joes for picking up this bottle. Split by 3 @ post-Leuven Innovation Beer Festival 2015 train ride. BBF 21/11/2016. Dark orange, amber,… Nose is herbal hops with some sweetish malts, tad other grains & bitter pine,… Has a touch higher carbonation & other grains feel, pine raisin, bitter grass, malty, tad too high carb, bread, malty, orange peel, touch herbal body,… Pretty decent brew but not exemplarily,…

Tap @ Van Moll. Black color. Nice beige/mocha colored head with fairly good retention. Aroma’s: heavy roast, ground coffee, dark malts, a bit soy sauce. Retronasal: some sweetness, light (fruity?) sourness, roast, coffee, a bit alcoholic. Flavor: light sour, roasted, light sweet. Alcohol feel is quite strong, warming. Medium bodied. Finish with ash, light sweet, roasted. Unfortunately I didn’t get much of the barrel.

On tap @ Van Moll (brewed @ Maximus btw). Hazy orange color. Off white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: freshly tapped it was crazy hoppy, citrus, resin, marijuana were slapping me in the face, some flowery hops and alpha acid as well. First sip was extremely bitter. This all mellowed a bit after a while, but flavor was still bitter. Light to medium bodied. Finish had some ash and was long lasting bitter. I loved this.

On tap @ Van Moll. Light amber color, hazy. White head. Aroma’s: soft hoppiness, flowery, with some fruity sourness retronasal. Flavor: soft fruity sourness and light bitter. Light bodied. Light bitter finish, very mild.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized creamy brown head that lasts for quite a while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, brown malts quite strongly, quite roasty, don’t really get a lot of bourbon. Taste malts, roast, bitter, lightly bourbon in the distance, but roast and dark malts dominate the beer. Beer is still nice but not good as a bourbon - version unfortunately.
