25/10/2024. Draft at Craft House Kyoto. Wasn’t clear which one of many this pale was but the abv matched at 5.5% so rated here. Pours cloudy orange amber with a small frothy white head. Aroma is orange, stone fruits, persimmon, malt, dank notes. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Quite lively carbonation. Decent.

I’ve not had a golden ale in awhile but it hits the spot of a beautiful sunny day! Marca Golden Ale 5% Gloriously clear copper gold with thick pillowy white foam and a soft mouthfeel. Medium to full in body with an earthy bitterness over a slightly stone fruit sweet graham base. Solid.

Tap at Craft House. Purple-pink hazy milkshake. Nice blueberry raspberry nose. citrus hops. Creamy and somewhat sweet but not over the top. Well done for the style.

Marca Hazy Hazy MINT IPA 6.5% 35 IBU Hazy straw gold with a big sweet mint aroma. Medium bodied but balanced. Clearly a hazy ipa but with deft use of mint. Exquisitely balanced. I really liked this. 3.8-3.9 TAP @ Ibaraki Bakuon 2023
Nice! Berries, roast, not much feeling of the strength. Like it!

I’ve gotta say I love MARCA’s simple clean packaging: MARCS BITTER 3% Amber orange with a floral hop, biscuit and caramel aroma. Light bodied but the fairly full mouthfeel gives it a touch of heft. The flavor is like the aroma. Bitter floral hop bite up front, then biscuits and caramel sweetness. Very clean and fresh.

200mls at Wiz, pours a murky brown with some creamy, beige head. Nose has chocolate, syrup and powder, malt. Flavor is Charleston Chew, chocolate soda, malt, toffee. Finishes dry. Easy drinker, decent character. 6 4 6 4 12

Murky yellow gold with a decent white head. Nice citrus with a touch of peel. Mango and citrus with a long soft finish.
