2nd Story Ale Worksは、徳島市郊外の山間部にあり、のどかな田園風景が眺められる小さな醸造所です。私達は、様々なビールを作りますが、共通して言えるのは、高品質であるべきということです。何よりも品質を一番に考えております。

We are a small beer brewery located on a farm on the outskirts of Tokushima city. We make a range of different beers with the common thread being high quality. Other than quality we try not to take things too seriously. We are making beer after all, it should be fun.

Bottle. Right after the Chinook. More tropical fruit, funky, with over-ripe mango and durian, pineapple, and honey too. Rich and fruity, also dank weed and tobacco notes. This hop really shines here. Lovely ripe tropical fruit, dank and spicy. Great stuff.

Bottle. Minty, herbal nose, pineapple, pine, citrus. Slightly hazy golden orange. Fruity flavor, tropical, dank and herbal, resiny. Quite complex and the Chinook tops it all off. Crisp and well-balanced West Coaster. Nice, even though Chinook isn't one of my favorites.

slightly hazy golden amber color. Beautifully dank sweet tart nose of apricots, fresh squeezed orange juice and orange gummy bears. Delightful nose. Juicy, not overly dank, a bit too dry for the style, but lovely hop character. So much potential but not enough body and too dry.

no head light brown color. Big banana character with chocolate in the backbone. Thick body, low carbonation, fairly sweet, nice chocolate and banana character. Not overly complex but for 12% alcohol well hidden. Enjoyable beer for sure

very effervescent, yeasty, pears and apples in the nose with nice wheat character. Full bodied, smooth cracked wheat, stewed apples. Alcohol well hidden.medium bitterness Decent.

Tap at Crafthouse. Glowing amber-orange with lace. Tropical fruit, peach, orange, biscuity malt in the nose. Light and crisp, fruity, dry finish.

pitch black color with no head. Excellent chocolate and molasses character in the nose. Off sweet. Really nice chocolate, cherries and nuttiness. Modestly sweet but good underlying roasted malt character. Smooth palate. Excellent dessert beer without the high abv. Really groove on this. I wouldn’t want the abv any higher. Nice stuff.

Lovely stuff. Bit of caramel, bit of sweetness, belgium saison yeastiness, berries, creaminess. Some citrus, something floral. Feels quite full bodied but very easy drinking. Toffee maybe. Light bretty bite and bitterness. Great stuff!
