An opaque gold with a bready herbal tangy aroma. Herbal hops, tangy fruits and hay like malts. A decent lager but not so special.

Tap at Waseda Oktoberfest. Pours orange, somewhat hazy, a bit of white foam. Aroma is sweetishly sour. Surprisingly sour also in taste. Watery and messy, bitter with herbal hops but far from balanced and sourness sort of dominates. Drinkable but still a disappointment.

Tap at Waseda Oktoberfest. Pours dark brown, almost black. Aroma has strong coffee roast malts, deep black bread maltiness. Tastes bit sourish, sweet and chocolate bitter. Would expect a bit more body from an Imperial Stout and maybe less sour notes. This one is not bad though, has a decent roast profile,chocolate and cocoa. Unfortunately also a bit watery.

Tap at Osakajo. Lots of stone fruit in the nose. Sweet, stewed fruit flavors, citrus and peaches, some toffee. Decent.

Made with Ibuki #2, Kirin’s house hops, that were given to Outsider to hook them up for the Asahi Fresh Hop event.

A clear deep gold with a soapy head of foam and a fruity aroma with a dab of butterscotch. The taste is fruity, caramel and grape, some ash and not too shabby for a new brew.

As Outsider Morning Dew Fresh Ale: A slightly cloudy gold with a bright white head of foam and a hop bouquet of lemon, grape and herbs. Medium offer with a dry finish, the taste is herbal, grassy, sweet then fruity and fresh. A good session beer.

Poured from the tap at Ant n Bee. Pitch black with minimal beige head. Coffee and mild ash, dry finish, medium light body.

Tap at Vector Factory. Simple grassy and malt-forward nose. Some light stone fruit as it warms I guess. Dry and scratchy bitterness on the palate. Lots of malt, but very British and balanced in a British sort of way. Astringent finish. Outsider Apple Cider 5% at Tadg's. Clear gold with a tart apple aroma. The taste is sweet lightly acidic tart apples then earthy orchard notes for a solid cider. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Oedo Beer Fest. Slightly hazy straw with a finger of foam that lingers. Peach-forward aromas with some light wheat notes. Creamy on the palate with what I assume is wheat on the palate. More peachy esters with some light apple notes too. Easy drinking and a nice take on a lager. Tap at Oedo Beer Fest. Caramel brown pour with a finger of head. Malt forward aroma with some light pine and caramel notes. Starts out sweet on the palate with some caramel notes and then the piney bitterness rushes in. Slightly astringent finish. Not a good IPA really.
