Fujizakura Thanks Dad Lager 5% 40 IBU Opaque gold with a thick white head of foam and a herbal aroma. This beer was very subdued at first but as it opened a richness showed up. The flavor gained a nice bready malt character and while at first the hops were solely herbal and grassy with a lingering bitterness but suddenly they aftertaste gave me orange blossoms. Pretty full bodied with a raspy mouthfeel and dry finish. The taste became semi-sweet but the hops gave it a balancing bitterness. Enjoyable stuff, I believe made with Citra and talus which is the same as their Snow Monkey Hazy Lagar so maybe they’re the same?

Can, as 'Fujizakura Beer Project Extreme Pilsner'. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma: malty, grains, sweetish, light bread, some herbal hop character. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, more sweet grains, light bread, herbal hops, warming booziness. Medium body with average carbonation.

Nice stuff. New England but has nice bitterness and grainy wheatiness. Bit creamy.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Nose is yuzu, wheat, light esters, a bit of banana. Very sharp and a bit pithy. Hazy pale golden color with a low head. Massive perfumy yuzu flavor, softer than the nose, not pithy, but juicy and flowery. the beer is quite overwhelmed at first, but after some time in the glass the yuzu dies down and wheat biscuits and banana come through and we see it is a weizen. Can't really notice the hops, though, through the yuzu. Tastes ok but not as good as their regular weizens.

Tap at Takumiya. Single hopped with Idaho 7. Bright pastel golden color. Nose is grapefruit, papaya, esters, banana, lemon, passion fruit. Dry fruity flavor, wheat crackers, coconut. Crisp, dry finish. Good as expected.

Alright but not super exciting. Got that slightly chemical thing going on. Sharp. I think a pint would showcase it better but I’m on a mission.

Fujizakura Helles Lager 5% Deep yellow gold with an off white head of foam and a herbal hop bouquet. The taste is sweet rich honeyed malts and herbal noble hops. Medium bodied with a crisp clean finish eminently satisfying and the best of the bunch I tried today.

Fujizakura Komugi to Hop 5% Hazy straw gold with a Citra fruity aroma. Very zesty body and overly aggressive carbonation but nice hop flavor. Solid.

Fujizakura 21st Anniversary NEIPA 5% Looking almost identical to komugi to hop in that it’s straw gold with a fizzy white head of foam. The body on this is not so abrasive. The aroma is Citra and fruit tarts. The taste isn’t as well integrated as the 22nd but it’s ok.
