Description
Yvan DE BAETS and Bernard LEBOUCQ meet each other in 2002, during the second edition of the Zinnekparade. Bernard had created the now famous ZINNEBIR for this unique Brussels event. However, it took another five years for BRASSERIE DE LA SENNE to settle effectively in the capital. In the meantime, the brewing activities were continued at friendly breweries. This bohemian existence came to an end on December 22, 2010, the date of the very first 100% Brussels brew!

(Draft at Muted Horn, Berlin, 16 July 2025) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, herbal nose with notes of grass, citrus, herbs, coriander and orange peel. Fruity, herbal taste with bread, citrus, grass, coriander and a mild herbal/citric bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

330ml @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, man!).
Aroma: Brett, some flowery notes, some peppery and light smoky notes like in Belgian Saison.
Taste: along the same lines, loads of Brett. Finishes with Brett bitterness.
Overall: another representative of those Matt's and Andrew's favourite ratings from me with "Brett, Brett, too much Brett" in them 😂

Poured from 33cl bottle (bottled 22 June 2023; bb 22 June 2027). Hazy orangey gold with white head. Super dry soft brett, mild citrus note, quick finish. Gets a bit one note with all the brett.

Bottle at The Republic Brugge. Clear gold colour lasting off white head. Some Belgian yeast esters on the aroma. Some floral hop in the mouth. Some citrus fruits. Some bitterness on the finish. Reminds me of a number of Belgian blond. This is a little more floral perhaps. Well put together and a favourite style.
