Sorachi Ace single hopped dark lager paired with vegetarian pizza. Dark black with a beige head and an aroma of lemon, herbs and chocolate. Feels thicker than the orange & coriander version in terms of mouthfeel with a rich bready chocolate flavor. Very nice stuff with the sorachi ace giving a herbal minty lemon character in the finish. The pizza draw out the bready grain character of the beer which is nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light amber color. Lots of butter popcorn and fruit but very malty. I think it is well made but wish there was more hops and had more body. Not my favorite

Medium golden color. The nose is slightly sour but almost non-existent. Light body, more like a Pilsner, not bad. But not great. I thought it was more of a Pilsner, than an Ale, but was listed as 4%. Definitely not very exciting.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Slightly hazy brown with a finger of fluffy cappuccino-like foam. Chocolate and toffee on the nose with some light coffee. As it warms that classic dill and cream cheese aroma comes out. Smooth and pillowy on the palate. So easy to drink. Quite complex and fun. Sorachi ace on the finish with light roasted malt. Tap at Komachi. Lemony nose, biscuit malt. Interesting. Ok lemon flavor, Saaz hops, biscuity malt. Solid but this is better without the added lemon.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Clear gold with a one-finger white head that lasts throughout. Lots of cream cheese and dill (benedictine!!) on the nose with some light lemon and grass. Clean on the palate with good carbonation. Some light cracker flavors as well. Nice dry and crisp finish. Solid.
