Tap at CBM Awajicho. Pours a clear gold with a one-fingered fluffy white head. Biscuit, lemon, cracker notes with underlying jalapeno notes. Taste is biscuity with a medium body. Light creamy, spicy finish with a queso dip thing going on. Very interesting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Devil's Lager on 30 Oct 2015 at 19:07 - Score: 7

Bottle sent from the brewery. Creamy, citrusy nose, lemon and orange from the hops, something like miso, rich biscuity Czech pilsner-like malt. Deep golden-orange, cloudy, with a medium, fine head. Sweet biscuity and fruity flavor, orange, some melon, rich malt, touch of caramel. Refreshing and fruity lager. Interesting use of American hops, and overall a very original lager. Malt character is rather Czech, though with some Munich or caramel malts, slightly sweeter and fuller than their pilsner. Tingly, peppery hop finish. Simpler than their pils, but easy drinking and enjoyable.

Draft at CBM Koenji. Clear gold with a slight hint of orange tint with a nice soapy head. Nose is biscuits and honey, some cracker, and lemon. Taste is biscuit and crackery with the honey lingering in the back. Very well-balanced and refreshing. Crisp finish that leaves a nice dry feeling. --- Beer merged from original tick of American Aroma Ale on 27 Jul 2015 at 21:25 - Score: 7

Tap at Beerfes Kamikochi 2015. Pours dark brown, edging on black. Bit of beige-brownish foam. Aroma is clean, a bit of roast coming through. Taste is actually surprising for me. There is good amount of body and roast is also medium strong. Normally I have expected Dunkel’s to be more watery and they usually have had some lagery cardboard character. Not here. This could even pass as a dry stout, has the body and flavour. Surprise for me.

Tap at Beerfes Kamikochi 2015. Pours nice golden, white foam. Aroma is malty to the extent that this really feels like I can cut it with a knife. Taste is fresh, clean - and quite full. Malt profile is strong and perfect, it’s not watery at all. Everything is brought together with the nice bitter finish - not overly bitter, just enough for it to do a good job. Probably one of the best pilsners you can have.

On tap at the Toyama fest. A nutty caramel aroma. Soft effervescent carbonation on a light body. The taste is earthy bitter and green hoppiness. Nice.

On tap in Toyama. Lemon pils 5% A shinning clear gold with an earthy lemon aroma. The taste is more balanced + beer like than the mint with crackery light molds and tart lemon juice flavor with some zest. Good but it’d be great if the sun was shining. Ap 4 ar 8 t 8 p 4
