Description
It is in Saint Rémy sur Orne that we passionately brew a whole range of certified organic craft beers. We select the best malts and the finest hops to concoct our own beer recipes. They are hand-brewed, top-fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurized.

At the La lie brewery, we have chosen to brew in organic quality. Our beers are all certified organic. They are traditionally brewed from water, different malts and hops, and yeasts that we carefully select. A few spices enhance certain recipes, for example for our white or Christmas beer. Finally, no additives are added to our brewing method, for a 100% natural beer with an authentic flavor.

We now buy the majority of our malting barley from an organic Norman farmer which we send to be malted so that we can use it to brew our beers. We are counting on the upcoming opening of a Norman malthouse, to relocate the barley malting stage.

Our hops currently still come from Alsace, Austria or England for example. We strongly encourage farmers who wish to produce Normandy hops to get started, we will use it as soon as its cultivation in Normandy is in place.

330ml bottle @ La Comob'auge, Beuvron-en-Auge, Normandy. Pours a misty gold, medium white head. Aroma is fresh, lightly floral, light hop. Taste is straightforward French blonde territory, though this tasted particularly fresh with a nice underlying sweetness. Refreshing on a hot late afternoon like this one.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty gold, white head. Aroma brings a soft yeast sweetness. Taste is smooth with a light vanilla hint to the yeast, light citric fruits. Lacks a little punch for the strength, but it’s nice enough.
