Re-rate: Poured from 500mL bottle (2023 vintage). Purple-ish red with small pink head. Lots of nice cherry character, quite fresh, enjoyable. Same rating. September 28, 2021 (8/3/8/4/16=3.9): Poured from the tap @ The Magnet. Ruby red with no head. Rich, yet subdued tart cherry, oak, funk, touch of brett. Quite nice.

Poured from the tap. Clear straw yellow with small white head. Grain and white bread with a touch of grass hops. Clean, crisp, but a touch boring.

Poured from the tap. Hazy yellow with small white head. Almost had a slightly kviek like quality to it with muted hops. Really just not a big fan of the cold IPA fad style going on right now.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, orange peel, grapefruit and piney hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange peel, grapefruit, pine resin and spicy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. A classic Westie.

Black colour. Mild aroma of coffee, green peppers. Good body, moderate sweetness, strong roast, ashes, burnt, green pepper, light smoke. Well made, but once again, coffee plays negatively.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of toasted bready pale malt, oak and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, grass, oak and spicy hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Not a Pilsner fan, but I found this to be flavourful and enjoyable. Nicely done.
