28.06.2013, 0,33l bottle @ Wasabi Manhattan NYC:
Fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is neutral, light malts, rice, hints of hay and yeast. Taste is slightly sour-ish, light malts, grass, citrus, hay. Little bitterness. Weird!

Nothing special but actually not all that bad. I had it all the time when I was down in Okinawa. A light lager geared for tropical climes. Paly yellow gold color, white head, decent body and light flavor. Refreshing on a hot day, an ok lager.

Pale golden color with a medium foamy white head that recedes slowly. Aroma of grain and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, corn and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a grassy hops aftertaste. Below average overall.

Bottle. Pale yellow color with small foamy white head, slight citrusy aroma, sweetish bland taste, high carbonation, abrupt finish. Generic lager.

Tap at a Melbourne Japanese restaurant. Pale gold with a luxuriant white head that lasts well. Not much to the aroma or the taste - seems to be one of those "taste the nothingness" Japanese deals - but it’s slightly crackery and not that sweet, modestly grassily hopped with a gently drying finish. Very light and not really my sort of thing, but a pretty fair beer.

Can: Poured a golden color with thin white head. Aroma was sweet grass. The taste was of soggy cardboard.

H-Mart, Merrifield, VA 633ml ($5.50): Pours a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is very light. Body is also very light, but it does have a pinch of hops. This doesn’t really have any offensive elements and is absurdly easy to imbibe.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Cookie and biscuit aromas. Dry with sweet and sour cookie front to back. Good with Asian food.

Boring yellow body and that awful thin styrofoamy head that rice-brewed beer gives you. Aroma of faint cardboard. Flavour is at least a noticeable cardboard and malt concoction with a dry finish. Another faceless lager.

(can) yellow colour with medium tall white head; aroma of corn, grain; bland flavour, rather unattractive without being downright nasty; ingredient list: malt, hop, rice, corn grits, corn starch - warns you not to expect much
