From a 355ml can on 16/6/2021. Pours a hazy golden with a small to medium head. Has a decent and tropical and citrus nose, with some grassy notes. Tastes of orange, melon and peach, with a moderate citrus bitterness with a bit of lemon and lime. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely put together but I still prefer The Matriarch.

Aromas of pine, spearmint, biscuit, spice and milk. Grapefruit, pine and spice most prominent in the mouth. A solid WC DIPA.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a white head that’s soon a coat. Aroma of pineapple, apple and a little lime. So it tastes. Quite sweet with some warmth and bitterness welling up though the murk. Not really my sort of thing.

Can. Near clear amber with a cm of white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, mango skin, breadcrust. Medium bodied, carbonation a bit lower than some CoCon beers. Clean & moderately sweet with some depth to the slightly caramelised malt flavours, then fruity with the balance more towards the tropical than expected before pine and sufficient bitterness come through. Right up my street.

From a 355ml can on 23/3/2021. Pours a hazy deep golden with a small head. The nose features dank and ripe fruit. Quite sweet up front with lots of tropical fruit sweetness (pineapple, mango), a hint of green apple, and a moderate, slightly tangy bitterness at the back. The mouthfeel is a touch slick, the carbonation slightly fizzy. By no means bad, but perhaps a touch muted for a double. Has way less punch than the Matriarch.

Can. Opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, pineapple, mango, coconut. The citrus in zestier on the palate and that works well to counter the sweetness. Cleaner than it looks with modest yet sufficient bitterness at the end. A tidy hazy IPA - for me, their best of that ilk so far.

Opaque, soupy and delicious. Aromas of pineapple, passionfruit and mango. There's some apple, grapefruit and honey in the taste. A bit of an alcohol burn at the back of the throat is the only drawback.

Pours hazy gold with a large sudsy head.Nose shows pineapple, mango, tangerine, apricot, pine and peach, along with clean malt underneath.Flavours include more mango, pineapple, papaya, lychee and apricot. Almost too much of a breakfast juice character. Big sweet clean malt behind. Bordering on cloying but not quite.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a small white head. 3- Looks like apricot nectar and perhaps why I smell that first. There's mandarin and some coconut too. Hints of herbs. Sweet and quite Splice-like taste but the fruit is pleasantly tangy and I couldn't actually taste the lactose. The finish just leans enough towards dry to let the very modest bitterness show. Not really my sort of thing but it's well done and pretty tasty.
