Can. Pours like a broken sewer with a head on it (as is the style, but still). Aroma of pineapple, orange, wheaty dough. 7 And that’s pretty much how it tastes too - like freshly extracted as much as squeezed juice, some not entirely focused malty backing. Not clean. Finish is moderately bitter and slightly astringent. Not sold on these (yet).

Tap at Mrs Parma’s, Melbourne. Poured a hazy reddish amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light fruit, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a soft grainy malt, citrus fruit, light floral, resin metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Amber with a thin white head. Aroma of mandarins, grapefruit, passionfruit, some pine over crackers. 7 Fairly dry and light bodied but with enough crackery/ light bready malt to provide a base for quite big citrusy hops. The tropical notes get pushed into the background a bit. Dry, bitter finish. Not awfully distinctive but good.

Can (good graphic art). Clear amber with a large pale beige head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of sticky bread crusts, bitter oranges, passionfruit, pine, some spices. Medium bodied, carbonation is moderate. Sweet but not lush with the hops having only a little struggle to cut through. SOme of the fruit melds with the caramel, some of it saws through. Finish is a bit stewed fruit with pine and medium high bitterness - seems a bit muddled. Caramel with mosaic (I presume) can be a bit sickly. This red IPA/ hoppy amber is less my sort of thing these days but this is pretty good.

A really delightful beer with All Of The Hops. It looks like a frothy grapefruit juice and has a fair bit of grapefruit in the aroma as well, along with lemon, peach and apricot. I get tangerine or mandarin in the mouth. Beautifully balanced, great length. A real pleasure.
