Can. Murky brownish orange with a dense white head. Vibrant aroma with freshly cut grass, gooseberries, lime, cracker bread. Thick. Vague chewed cracker malt but the hops float above untouched. Slightly astringent and barely bitter end.

From a 440ml can on 10/10/2023. Pours a lightly hazy deep golden with a medium head. Has a muted ripe and stewed aroma. Tastes of strange mishmash of indistinct fruit with strong herbal notes and an odd grassy, tangy and ever so slightly sour bitterness. medium bodied with moderate to average carbonation. Odd, messy and very disappointing for a Deeds.

From 440ml can on 21/9/2023. Pours near black with a medium to big tan head. The nose is chocolate and rich mud cake with a hint of fridge. Tastes of dark chocolate, biitter cocoa, some cakey notes, finishing with a moderate roasty bitterness with a hint of Vegemite. Medium sweet but not really dessertish. Complex, nicely balanced and really well done.

pours a lovely deep golden color. Thick frothy white head. Beautiful nose of apricot, lemon and cereal malts. Medium full body, malt forward with modest bitterness (I think it could have used a touch more), but dry and overall well balanced. Very clean but rich bock body Excellent take on the style.

Apparently still available! Middie on tap at Brew Nation, ACT. Pours black with a thin white head. Strong vanilla aroma. Slight zing, good body. Patchy lacing. Intense taste of cocoa, dark chocolate and vanilla. Slight bitter fruit in the finish. Late night sipper.

From a 440ml can on 6/9/2023. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a smallish head. Hasa muted ripe stone fruit nose. Tastes fairly sweet, with lots of apricot and a dash of peach. Finishes lightly bitter, and fairly tangy. Fullish bodied with moderate carbonation. It's actually quite pleasant and is indeed juicy, but perhaps a little too subdued.

Deeds brewing Pre Game Pale Ale 4.2% Glowing orange color with a thick rocky white head of foam and a vibrant bright zesty citrus and stone fruit aroma. Light bodied, semi-dry and refreshing. This was a really nice APA, purchased at Yamorido for 700¥ to go.

From a 440ml can on 3/9/2023 (shared with Ed). Pours a deep brown with a smallish tan head. The nose is dominated by cherry and berry fruitiness, with a bit of chocolate in the background. Features moderate to high sweetness with Black Forest cake flavours there in spades (dark choc and cherry), with a sharp, moderately bitter finish. Don't get the barrel-aged aspect though. Has a slightly creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Super easy drinking for 11%. Really enjoyable.

Tall can from Winerack at home after T10. Dark opaque black pour with medium tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee and chocolate with bitter earthiness. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, medium-dark coffee, molasses, some leather, a little dried dark fruit, and good booze on the finish. Palate is nice and rich without being too chewy or heavy. Really luscious. Finish is bitter and alcohol bite. Quite good.
