Can. It's deep amber. It's got more resin than fruit on the nose. It's got that hoped for viscosity. Something is a little off kilter flavour flavourwise however. The bitterness just doesn't balance up. Close but no cigar alas.

Aromas of pine needles, resin, mandarine, honey and grapefruit. There's also some spearmint in the mouth. Hides its alcohol well. Beautifully crafted.

Bottle. Gold with a white head. The odd floatie. Funky dry barn aroma with peaches, cracker dough, some twigs. Gentle sourness creeps up behind the peaches and old oranges and after a few sips you wonder why it wasn't obvious at first. Dry, oaky with bracken and spices at the end. Very nice. I like how this brewery is moving into more adventurous things _after_ establishing they can brew.

On tap at Mrs Parmas. A bit hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of hops, citrus, some light caramel and malt. The body was medium as was the bitterness. A decent one.

Can. Very hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma of oranges, pineapple, crackers. Not v sweet so it's very fruity but almost brusque. Fairly bitter end. Very refreshing. Fine summer quaffer.

When I saw the bottle, I was worried that it was too light to be a proper scotch ale, but this one really delivers. The peat is the dominant flavour, with notes of toffee, nougat, grapefruit and a little chocolate. The hops offset the sweetness, it's full bodied and a lot of fun.

(Bottle) Pours cleat Amber with small white head. Pleasant pine aroma. Medium body, plenty of fine soft carbonation. Nicely hoppy from start to solid bitter finish. Well balanced with a nice biscuit and light caramel malt. Some pleasant pepper notes. Good beer.
