On tap at Last Jar, Melbourne. Straw in colour, very slight haze. Malt forward nose with a little bit of stonefruit. A creamy biscuit malt dominates flavourwise. Very English style and almost no bitterness.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige head that settles to a cm. Light roast and mocha combine nicely with heady peppery vanilla. And it does so on the palate too, although it is a fair bit too sweet for me. Finish is brief with spice mingled with bitterness.

On tap. Deep amber and hazy. Caramel and toffee nose. Biscuity with some peat. Not bad, although this is a style where I want to be wowed.

Bottle. Almost black with a beige head that fades to a fat coat. 3+ Roasty aroma under quite punchy floral citrus - I probably would have guessed grapefruit. Some toffee and chocolate. And that's pretty much how the taste goes too - light roast, toffee, chocolate, orange/ grapefruit oily edge. It's straightforward but works fine, with an elan I haven't seen from them before.

Pours yellow with a fading head.Nose shows smokey notes, soft pineapple, doughy wheat.Flavours include lemon, a bit of acidity, and more of the odd, off-putting smokey, butyric note.

Schooner on tap at Foresters, Collingwood. Clear amber beer with a thin white head. Malt forward nose, a little grain. Full bodied and viscous, good lacing. Very malty for a Pils, any grain is only noticeable late in the finish. By that score it's an atypical Pils but it's drinkability is high.

On tap at Foresters. Pours a near clear earthy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart lime and earthy pineapple with a bit of buttery grain backing. Flavor starts with lime and earthy pineapple but finish has a buttery grain.
