GABF week, 2014, at Falling Rock. Thick head of foam on the cloudy yellow beer; it looks good. Lightly tart and some wheat, highly drinkable. Sour enough that I want to drink it but not so sour i have to take my time.

This beer pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lace. Wheat and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, bready malt and mild hops. The finish is wheaty with a short grassy hops aftertaste. Average overall.

Shaker pint draft at the brewpub in Frisco, Colorado. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma is wheat, citrus lemon and a general sour. The taste is tart lemon along with wheat grain and then some grain dirtiness in the finish. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation and some dirty earth in the finish. Just OK.

Tap - medium amber pour - intensely spicy and and bitter beer, here, coming from the rye, the hops, and the yeast all at once - initially sweet up front, with some bread and toffee - this is followed by mild esters that lead right into a more dry, bitter, and spicy middle and finish - peppery and lightly earthy phenols - spicy and earthy rye - piney and citric hops - a decent saison/ipa hybrid.
