Nitro at Freshcraft - nearly black pour - fairly light-bodied, but with a silky, creamy mouthfeel - flavor is farily mellow, with some moderate milk sugar sweetness, balanced by a light char/roast character and medium to high coffee flavors - a light bit of acidity, most likely from the coffee, but other than that it is fairly smooth and does not become overly bitter or abrasive, like many coffee stouts do - I enjoyed it.

Tap at Falling Rock - hazy golden - taste is incredibly phenolic - lots of black pepper and clove, even a touch of banana - quite a bit of tropical fruit sweetness which is a little too high for my tastes - the string phenols do a scent job of covering this up - decent.

Pint glass draft in the bar area at the Blue Spruce in Frisco, Colorado. The pour is a darker golden, clear, with a lighter tan head. The aroma is a nice toasty malt, clean and mildy sweet. The taste is the gentle caramel toasted malt of the nose predominately, along with a floral, very light citrus hoppiness. The finish is smooth, and lightly mineral. The palate is light to medium bodied, perfect carbonation and the crisp clean finish. Nicely drinkable Amber Lager.

Approximately 12 oz goblet draft at the brew pub in Frisco, Colorado. Pour is a hazy golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is malt and wheat, bright Belgian yeast, clove, and some hay grass and earth. Taste is the clove yeast and malt sweetness. Aftertaste is some bright phenols. It all comes together pretty well. Palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and the yeasty finish. I like my saisons a bit drier, but this was good. I didn’t realize the abv of this beer until after the fact, explains some of the sweetness. Cheers to the adiditional info I received via the brewery.

Shaker pint draft at the brew pub in Frisco, Colorado. Pour is a lightly hazed golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light cereal grain along with some lemon citrus sweetness. Subdued nose. Taste is the cracker malt up front with the sweet lemon and a very mild herbal element in the back. Taste is clean, though like the nose, muted. Palate is medium to thin bodied, clean finish, somewhat lower carbonation. Decent Pils, clean, nothing offensive.

Tap at Freshcraft - black pour with an impressive off white head - nose of bitter black malts and resinous, piney hops - creamy body - falls into the trap that many black ipas do up front in that it is a bit too sweet and stouty - a fair amount of acidity through the middle - dries out enough for the strong, earthy, wood hops to be welcome - finish is a bitt too acidic - pretty good, though.
