Description
In Peccatum Craft Beer was born in 2013 under the brand name Cerveza Keltius, brewing Belgian-style beers in a small brewpub in the city of Ourense.
In 2015 it was decided to dispense with the brewpub and move to an industrial estate, dedicating ourselves 100% to manufacturing and distribution, and acquiring new equipment and machinery that allowed us to triple the production volume and automate much of the process. The company aspires to continue growing and improving the quality of its beers day by day.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. A bit murky looking with huge yeast flakes. Fruity hoppy aroma with tropical fruits, juicy citrus, pale malt, orange, notes of grapefruit and a touch of alcohol. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with an almost harsh bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Aroma has some nice fruity hops, but between the bitterness and alcohol there is an element of harshness to the finish. Enjoyable, but hardly great, there are some rough edges.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malts, caramel, dried dark fruits, raisins, yeast, plum, liquorice, touch of cocoa and roast. Flavour is medium sweet and mildly bitter. Body is medium. More like a Belgian Strong Ale than an Imperial Porter. Not too impressed with this one, okay-ish sipper, but a big style fail to say the least. This was really not what I was in the mood for considering the claim that this is an Imperial Porter.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Accolades for paying tribute to a beloved black metal classic. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, tobacco, ash, lots of liquorice, some chocolate, bit syrupy. Flavour is above medium sweet with a moderate roasty bitter finish. Body is medium, way too weak. "I am them..." Unfortunately, this is a bit of a rough Impie that just does not come together.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, orange, tropical notes with grapefruit and a touch of herbal hop. Flavour is sweetish with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium, could have used some more carbonation. Lacks the juicy dankness of a NE, but once you get past that it's not a bad 'regular' IPA.

Can from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Modestly hopped aroma with fruity citrus, lightly flowery, some orange, light herbal, touch of peach. Flavour is light sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is light. Overall fairly light and not that hoppy, the citrus is fine though with some flowery notes. Very sessionable.
