The story of Radiant Pig begins in a small Brooklyn apartment in 2013 when a former art school student and homebrewing fanatic decided to merge his two greatest passions: art and craft beer. The name Radiant Pig being a mashup of these two passions.
‘Radiant’ is inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was dubbed the ‘Radiant Child’ by art critic Rene Ricard. Pig is an acronym that stands for ‘people in gastropubs’, a nod to our customers and anyone who shares a love for craft beer.
Radiant Pig is a favorite amongst beer nerds and novices serving up everything from Hazy IPAs to sours, red ales and lagers. As demand and distribution has grown throughout the Northeast, we’re working on creating a brewery space and taproom in NYC where people can enjoy our beers.

Draft at Hellcat Annie’s. This rating is for the Mosaic one of the series, the description is correct, but the name needs to be updated. Clear orange color, frothy off white head. Aroma is light hop, a little spice. Not much else. Lightly bitter flavor. More spice. Lemony notes too. Kinda dull, but not bad. Would never have guessed this was made with Mosaic if they didn’t tell me.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks Tom L. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Grains, cardboard, stale hops, a bit sweetish, bitter finish, medium-bodied.

32oz growler from Superstar Huntington, pours a hazy orange with some sticky, rocky, white head. Nose has lemons, tangerines, grapefruit, some grapefruit soda, a little candy. Flavor is sweeter than the nose lets on, some lemon-lime soda, grapefruit juice, some perfume, some sun tea, flower petals. Finishes, sweet, bitter and a touch tannic. Good, not great.

Draft at Cooper's, Chelsea. Unclear yellowish pour with a thin white head and light lace. Citrus and floral, a bit of candied sugar. Medium sweet, light-medium bitter. Definite fruity candy thing going on here. Solid stuff.

Keg at Albion - NYC. Pours clear golden with a white foam topping. The nose holds sugary, ripening mango. Medium sweet flavour with hints of pine, more fruity elements. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet in the finish, a little sticky, with more mango, citrus, lightly bitter orange rind. So so.

Draft at random Brooklyn burger place. Never even heard of the brewery. Thick pale color. Light pear esters, sweet but clean sweetness and mineral lemon character. Flavor is again esters but spikey and clean and not sweet. Light finish. Delightful and surprising. Had not detected any mango.

Very slightly hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a large, four centimetre tall pure whtie head. Aroma of super pungent, high alpha acid hops with a nice grassy and perfumey scent. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy, piney and very grapefruity hop flavour at first with a very mild malt body, showing some light fruit sweetness and a hit of bitterness of citrus at the end. Aftertaste is nice and fresh - a lot of hop bitterness, some fresh fruit, a very dry and airy flavour with no malt backbone weighing it down. Overall, a very nice Light IPA with some grass, apricots and perfume to couple the high alpha acid hops and light malt notes - well structured, and exactly what a Light IPA should be - very nice to try, especially in a can! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Union Square, 14th Street), New York on 30-May-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 08-September-2016.

On tap @ District Tap House. This is a soft blurry straw yellowish one, good looking lacing white head on the top. Like the aroma. It's sweetish wheaty aroma. A little grassy in a way, herbal and really nice smelling all together. Easy to drink. It's mild wheaty. Tones of sweet corn and orange zest. Mouth-vise it's light oily, perhaps a tad light and it's about average on the carbonation. Wheaty and a little it sweet before it gives a mild peppery arugula thingy in the finish. Quite easy to drink. Not very memorable though but quenching. 13.06.2015

Draught @Albion. Faintly hazy bright yellow with large beige creamy head, lemon peel arima, low carbonation, smooth body, lightly bitter citrus peel taste, long citrisy finish. Very smooth and citrusy, and not too bitter.
