Pint can from the brewery, 9/7/23. Re-watching the X-files and currently in S1E7, called Eurisko. So this seems appropriate. Pours mostly head. Tan, poor retention. Aroma of pineapple, coconut, spice. Taste is coconut, pineapple, raisin, spice. Moderate tartness. Okay.

Short pour @Eurisko. Dark & frapped yellow brown head over a matte black body. Dark roast, grassy, cola syrup nose. Oily, frothy, boozy coffee, dusty dark chocolate, varnish level boozy, heavy cola flavor, nutty bitterness but I can't tell it's pistachio. Dry, itchy, rich coffee roast finish. Nearly Burial level adjuncts. Almost. Yummy.

Rich black on brown, inky pour; cookie dough head pour @Eurisko. Scotch & soda, molasses, sharp burnt flour nose. Sharp malt, sweet char, cola acid burn, scotch, sweet burnt cookie finish. Thick, velvety, just enough acid, just a bit too boozy. Kinda great.

Clear, medium gold, filtered, lingering froth, 8oz pour @Eurisko. Quiet saltine & herbal nose. Bittersweet pear flavor, leaning candi sweet. Dusty texture, saltines, weak aspirin bitterness. Kinda good when cold.

Pint @ the source with Fred. Clear, pale gold, extra heady & hard to pour. Lemongrass & starchy, yeasty nose. Taste is bittersweet grain & very herbal. Dry, medium low acid, a little salty, strong but compact bittergreen follow, subtle lemongrass but the peppercorn is strong & wonderful. Lovely.

Single from my lovely wife via Appalachian. Rare Vos glass @home. Black with brown highlights, very weak cookie head. Super melted chocolate nose, oily nutty, vanilla, Amaretto, sharp malt. Sort of smells like an over the top Burial beer. Lux, mild peanut upfront after it warmed, lots of dark chocolate liquor, sharp wood, sharp booze, boozy vanilla frosting. Rich, barely carbonated, dense. Great in small bits.

Can from Appalachian, via my lovely wife. Rare Vos glass @home. Cascading cookie head, Smokey n salty sweet nose, very raisin-y, nutty, lactose, boozy cake-y. Sharp burnt raisin, bittersweet & charred, brown bread, boozy black cake, burnt nuts, a little creme. Frothy, acidic, sharp, thick, boozy. Good, almost great.
