Draft at the source. Sever at first gave me a brown ale, which had coffee notes to it, so I was duped. I was surprised that it was brown, but just thought that it was brewed with brewed coffee, rather than beans. Then some guy next to me had a blonde ale and I asked him what he was drinking - lo and behold, it was the Morning Midwood. Thankfully server poured me a glass of the coffee DIPA on the house, so I enjoyed both - great service. Oh, and the beer itself had just a subtle fruity coffee aroma, and a very light earthy bitterness. Subtle and understated, which makes it very easy to drink.

On tap at Craft Tasting Room in Charlotte. It pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grainy with hints of melon. The flavor has lots of grainy malt and watermelon. Not sweet though. Nice carbonation and subtle notes of apple, pear and pepper. Very much a Saison with light notes of melon rather than a melon fruit beer. Nicely done.
