Dark 375ml bottle from the Botanist AVL fridge. Chivas glass @home. A couple bucks more than several of their half size bottles for some reason. Pale, faintly half still. I get more menthol than ginger on the nose initially. Clay, yeast, cream soda, lime. Actual ginger zest as it warms. Very soapy, Canada Dry level ginger strength & sweetness. I get some second half acidity I'm assuming is from the mangos, but nothing obvious. Slight apple cider vinegar. A bitter & slightly herbal apple & ginger finish. Very mellow & floppy. Low, ticklish carbonation, yeast slurry, feels stronger than the 6.9% list. Forgettable.

$13 clear medicine bottle from the Botanist AVL bar. 10% off for buying too many. Couldn't find it on their website. Always curious about mysterious one-offs. Is it cacao or cocao? Lo-ball at home right after having the Raspberries At Dawn. Way less spirited pour, same magenta body, clearer with a touch lest yeast. Damp, soggy apples, soap, unidentifiable berries, earth. Pretty close to the Dawn version. Taste is lightly tart apples plus, a bitter berry tartness, and an oily & earthy middle that I assume is the cacao. Not as much raspberry in this one. Soggy, browned apple flavor. Yeasty tart finish. Expected more intense raspberry here. Soft carbonation & it dies really quick. Gently acidity, coarsely filtered. Strong for the abv. No real backbone or intensity to carry a flat drink. Meh.

Expensive single at Botanist AVL because Appalachian doesn't like breaking up packs. Lo-ball @home on a rainy day. Purty raspberry creme soda head, every slightly hazy magenta body. Medicinal, bitter skin, slight barnyard, faded pepper, very slight berry-ness but I can't pick out raspberries. Sour & sweet apple twang, sour raspberry, bitter veg, earth, salt. Actually raspberry flavor as it warms, but we don't want to drink this warm. Sort of like a dry hibiscus lemonade without the sugar. Very crispy & force carbed. Great acidity. Thin but dusty. Too creamy if it falls flat. Definitely crushable at a better price point.

Single from their Asheville tap room. Disappointed in myself for not finding out about all these cool one off brews till months later. Pint glass @home. Pale, gloopy after a seltzer burst, gold like most others. Smells, but doesn't reek of cigarettes laced with cheap dank, watermelon juice & bitter cider. Taste is better. Peppery, juicy, stiff punch of green veg bitterness, pineapple, tart lemon, salt, slightly floral, lingering sour crab, cigarette & bitter lettuce finish. Very light lingering iron aftertaste. Yeasty, but feels thinner with the very soda-ish carbonation. Rough & spirited. Strong for the abv. Finally something different.

Single from the AVL taproom. Grabbed the coolest label design, so it instantly gets +1 appearance. Pintglass @home. Spirited pour, slightly hazed light gold with a tint of something. Surprised it wasn't darker. Bitter apples, weeds, stems, melon, acetone. I can smell the house brand brand from a mile away. No cherries yet. Big punch of cherry tartness upfront trying to cover up a sour cider base(it almost wins). Slap of cider vinegar. Bittertart apple, pineapple juice. Big veg note in the middle. Interesting leafy bitter note to sort of clean things off. Just enough of a cherry taste or not nearly enough? I wanted more, but it did some good. Sharp above all else. Dusty leftover yeast. Prickly carbonation isn't quite up to snuff. ABV seems on point. Okay.

Single can from the AVL taproom. Local place doesn't break up too many 4-packs. Pint glass @home. Dusty pale gold, gluggy pour flattens out real quick. Sour, sweet vinegar, lime, astringent scent. Not quite getting the Jasmine yet. Upfront very sharp twang, but it dies back into this earthy cider with a matcha & rose-like aftertaste. Lingering sour plum. Just a few drops of vinegar. Their last Jasmine cider was way more pronounced, but this is easier to finish. Might have two. Dusty/yeasty/gloopy, spritzy, feels a level stronger than the 6.9abv list. Okay.

Baby goblet pour. Mostly clear, shiny gold. Smell is acidic. More straight spent yeast than earthy. No banana. Taste has a green mango sourness. Not too sharp. Apples are soft & lightly tart. Moderately sour, no immediate vinegar. Tart, pleasantly tannic finish. Refreshing, dry, good level bubbles, low perceived abv.

Small goblet on tap at Botanist AVL. Cloudy, dusty, still gold pour. Powdery, flowery perfume nose. Snappy & sour. Very noticable gin, citrus, rose, background vinegar, tart yeasty finish. Residual sugar, almost semi-sweet. Spritzy carbonation, but turns gunky fast. Alcohol is very in check. Liked.

Bottle from Whole Paycheck. Stemless wine glass. Pale, glunky, mostly still, straw gold. Smell is super floral, but not lavender, melon, very light citrus, yeast. Lemon, mango, potpourri, tart & sweet apple flesh, mellow sourness. Yeasty, rose, diluted apple, flowers Too strong. Low carb, super yeasty, whatever abv, chunky. Meh.

Mellow apple/pear, pineapple juice, core, lime, yeast, very slight banana. Hops? Yeast slurry, good acid, hit & run tartness, very low carbonation. Whatever abv. Vinegar in check for once. Honestly okay.
