Description
Definitive Brewing was formed in 2017 when we came across lightning in a (beer) bottle. After months of planning, we were introduced to our now Director of Brewing Operations, and found an ideal location, all in a single week. Our investment group is made up of friends and family all with ties to Lake Cobbosseecontee in Manchester, ME. After 6 months of tireless efforts to transform an old scaffolding company into a production brewery and tasting room, we opened May 19, 2018 on the legendary Industrial Way.

After two years of operation in Portland, our team chose to open a second tasting room on May 22nd, 2020 in Maine's southernmost town, Kittery in the heart of the shopping district. Kittery is pillar in Maine's food and beverage scene, and the opportunity to become part of this phenomenal town was one that we could not pass up.

At Definitive Brewing we strive to provide a memorable tasting room experience for all of our customers. This is culminated by our wide variety of beers, including our Kolsch (Contee), Session Ales, IPAs, Stouts and Sours! Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you soon!

Pours hazy orange-gold into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Mango and passion fruit aromas. Medium bodied with mango and passion fruit upfront turning to melon before the lasting tangerine pith and peel finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Pineapple, mango and hints of cantaloupe. Juicy texture with a slight herbal and pine like bitterness in the finish. Mild hint of resin. Pretty balanced with hidden alcohol.

16 ounce can at One Happy Bar at Queen Beatrix International Airport in Oranjestad, Aruba. Number one with a bullet. Hazy, orange gold color. Creamy beige head is minimal. Earthy, sweet tropical fruit aroma. Flavor is sweet bready malt and big tropical fruit flavors. Mango, pineapple, melon and tangerine notes dominate. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Some resiny pine on backend. Thank you, Mary for recommending this beer.

Can (9/9/22) pour from Beer and Wine Nation. It's a cloudy dark yellow-light brown with a bunch of large floaties, trace sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with fair retention and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is citrus, star fruit and mango. Taste is mango, star fruit, background malt. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not super strong nor super complex but decent.

Nice thirst quencher after a fun day at the zoo! Super refreshing beer: light, with a nice tartness and zero pucker. The fruits are there, well balanced, with some light vanilla for support. Very nicely balanced, should be great for summer heat.

16 oz can. Date: 11/21/22. Aroma is soft malt with a blast of white grapes. Flavor has a soft malt backbone with a mild current of herb under a bold amount of white grape. Very soft bitterness with a dry texture. Extremely well constructed. I love this!

16 oz can. Date: 11/10/22. Aroma is bright with tangerine and grapefruit. Flavor starts with the fruit and then transitions to mild pine and an undertone of grass. It’s not just juicy it also has bitterness in the form of herb. I like the balance.
