Description
Ancient Beer, Modern Method.
Fermenting since 2014 with only wild brattleboro mixed culture yeast. continually pushing boundaries of new sour beer. brewhouse fueled by wood, not fossils.
To truly understand terroir and wild yeast, a brewer must come to terms with the type of beer that “wants to be made” in their region. We are proud of Brattleboro’s wild yeast for its balance, its stone fruit and pecan character, and how dry and effervescent it leaves the beer. We are grateful to our region’s farms for the availability of world class hops and fruits, as well as to our area distilleries for unique and beautiful oak barrel flavor histories.
We delight in making beer that could only be made in our place, with our team, supported by our community and environment.

Can from BrewDog. It pours clear rich orange with a small white head. The aroma is oak, musty, funk, wet hay, barnyard, almost aniseed, zingy citrus, salted lemon and a touch of vanilla. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, sour, puckering, tangy, kick of hot acidity, sherbert, sour candy, lemon peel, tangerine, apricot, oak, funk and a touch of tannin with a drying and slightly acidic finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice, but is a bit harsh in parts with that acidity.

Can from BD Inverurie. It pours hazy rich orange with a dissipating white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, loads of tangy blood orange, kumquat, sherbert, marmalade and a touch of pomegranate. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, very juicy, loads of tangy blood orange, kumquat, marmalade, just a hint of acidity, sherbet and sour candy with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Balanced, juicy and moreish. I mean there are plenty of sours out there with more depth, but this really works as is.Tasty stuff.
