A nice reddish amber ale with a thick fluffy moka head. In aroma, a nice herbal malt with coriander and maple syrup. In mouth, a rather light mineral malt with woody maple notes, lighter bodied. Shared with Probstk, April 2 2009.

Bouteille 341ml.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a light foamy head with light retention and no lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with not much other characteristics. Taste is also dominated by some grainy malt with a lightly sweet ending. Average body with some low to medium carbonation. Ok at best but nothing that really stands out.

A golden ale with a thick off white head. A lightly acidic aroma with wheat notes. In mouth, a light refreshing malt with light signs of infection, lactic notes, a bit off. Not bad overall. Tasted at Mondiale 2007.

A murkey amber ale with a thin white head. Aroma of light peach pulp, and grains. In mouth, an effervescent beer with definite peach notes, but not a lot of malt or body to support, rather like drinking mineral water with a bit of peach juice. Light bodied. Some alcohol and light butter in finale. Bought at La Trappe à Fromage, Feb. 1 2008. 2.49$.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy amber color ale with a medium size pure white foamy head with average retention and some good lacing. Aroma of ligth peach syrup with some wheat malt also discernable. Taste is also dominated by some lightly sweet peach syrup which is well balanced with the wheat malt. Good body with good carbonation. Not complex nor am I usually too strong on fruit syrup but this is not too bad done and quite refreshing in the end.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention but no lacing. Aroma of strong and sweet maple syrup notes with some light woody notes. Taste is also a weird mix between some sweet maple syrup notes with some malt that is not quite balancer with the sweet aspect of the maple syrup. Interesting experiment if maybe a bit cloying though I still wonder if maple syrup and beer are a good mix.

Bottle: Poured a light black color ale with a good size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry coffee is some what bland. Taste is a mix between some light dry coffee notes with some lightly roasted malt. Body is just too thin for the style with some good carbonation. No fundamental flaws but not a whole lots of character as well.
