Not very high, nor very stable, but dense pale-orangey head; fully hazy peach-coloured beer. Citrussy nose (both on aromatic and sourish components); the unbaked dough for an orange pie or pancakes; faraway coriander and other spices. Surprising mixture of sweet and bitterish, in a hanging, but obviously stable balance. Again very orangey, both fruit and zeste. Subdued yeasty flavours. Dry mouthfeel and quite some alcohol - burning appears gradually. Quite full bodied for a triple. If there’s hemp in it, I either don’t taste or recognise it. It’s a Belgian triple with a less attenuated character. Not half bad! The first beers from Schoune I ever had came from Patrice Schoune himself - these were thanks to MartinT.

At 5% ABV is like a small triple with hints of nutmeg and oranges. Unfortunately, lacks the depth and boldness of regular triples.

A brown blonde ale which is confusing. The body is medium and has a strange mix of nutmeg and snuff which after half a bottle is more than enough.

Is a hazy orange-brown color, has a huge white head and nose of orange and spice, very similar to La Fin Du Monde. The palate has hints of bread, oranges, spices with a sour malt undertone. The finish is dry and slightly bready, but there is a lingering aftertaste on the tongue that is quite interesting.

Deep hazy amber-orange color and excellent lacing. The nose is full of oranges, maple syrup, spices and cookie dough. The body is yeasty with spicy orange undertones leading to a zesty orange finish

topped with a loose rocky white head, deep hazy amber color, but the nose is odd; fluoride with a strong malt present. The taste is slightly medicinally orange with hints of stewed tomato leading to an astringent dry orangey finish.

Has an unbelievably huge maple syrup nose with hints of cookie dough and lemon. Please don’t smell too long. The body provides a spicy hopped backbone, maple syrup and oranges along with a crisp dry finish.

Bottle: Poured an orangy colored beer with minimal head. Aroma is overpowered by maple syrup. Taste is even more overpowered by maple syrup. This beer is just too sweet for me and drinking more then one at the time could give you some heart burns. The only positive aspect to it, is that compared to other supposed maple syrup flavoured beer, this one actually does contain some real syrup.

Bottle – Poured a yellow hazy colored brew with almost no carbonation or head. You can detect some sourness through the aroma. Taste is partially sweet (lemon, orange?) with some acidic note. The sourness is missing as well as the usual tart associated with gueuze. Overall, this one is too expensive for the result but I still welcome the fact that this brewer was up for the challenge of brewing something different.
