Hazed golden-amber colour with a frothy warm cap, real good retention and some foamy lacing. Citrus nose with some grapefruit, but maybe a bit more oranges from the hops. Hints of caramel malts. A nice bitterness builds up. Zest from the citrus, but not extreme dryness. Goes down nicely and pretty refreshing all-around. Fresh hops overall making this a very good IIPA.

500mL can, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, citrus, some earth and biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice spicy, earthy and piney hop character, with just enough crisp biscuity malt. Sharply bitter astringency on the finish, a little too much so. But overall, nicely constructed and quite drinkable. Good stuff.

Can: Poured an amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops with light malt presence. Taste is a mix of citrusy hops with some bitter notes and some dry malt presence. Body was full with good carbonation. Not a big fan of the grain bill for this beer and bitterness could have been reduced in favor of more aromatic hops.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with an off-white creamy head that stays long and creates great lacing. Nice citrus aromas with some grapefruits and oranges, all blended with breaded malts. Slightly oily mouthfeel with some decent dryness in the finish. Again, citrusy in the taste with some growing bitterness. A very nice IPA with grapefruit and orange peel all well-balanced with some good malts. Would have again and a great first experience from this brewery.

Can from the Beer Store. Cloudy pale yellow under a small lingering white head. Nose is light honey with melon and green apple. Lightly sweet with light melon and apple tartness. Mouth is quite thin with soft carbonation and a short crisp finish. Refreshing but i was hoping for a touch more character. 7-/3/6-/2+/11

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops with some bitter notes is pleasant enough. Taste is a mix of citrusy hops with subtle fruity notes and a bitter aftertaste with a distinctive malt backbone. Body is full with good carbonation. Not bad bit not sure I get the New Zealand hops notes I was really looking forward to.
