Pours a dark brown colour with red-copper highlights. Beige head, goes away quickly leaving not much. Seems like it has notes of going bad, infected, with some sourness and vegetable notes in the smell and taste. This is weird being an 8% brew and not being that old. Plum, raisin aromas over the roasted malts. Mild brown sugars. Roasted and caramel malts for the taste, with some hints of dark fruits. Much preferred their Terrible Ted I just had before.

Deep amber colour with a warm beige head, average retention and some decent lace. Fruity malts with notes of apples, raisins and some caramel, spices. The yeast and hops are also present. And even more in the taste. This is where the saison part appears with all the fruitiness (mostly apples) and light grassy finish. Quite a nice blend of red ale with Saison yeast and a decent amount of hop. Goes down well for this playoff time. Overall, lots going on here.

Growler packaged OCT. 22, 2014 at the LCBO. Pours a light golden-yellow colour with a warm cap that has foamy lace. Mild pils grassy hop aromas with sweet malt and some corn. The corn shows a little more in the aftertaste. Sweet starts with the hops becoming better as it breathes, in the finish. Still, a little too sweet to have a full growler (or even half of it).
