Bottle from the lcbo.
Dark brown pour, with a small beige head. Dark cereal aroma, roasted malts, caramel, touch of smoke with some light grass. Nice mouth feel, and soft, but good carb. The finish is lots of Caramel, with some really solid malts. Slightly smoky, good roast, light coffee, with a medium to low bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden, a nice beer. But again, like the other NHL alumni beers, the price will prevent me from buying it again.

Growler at the lcbo. Bottled on October 3rd, I’m drinking it November 3rd. A month old growler. Hmmmmm, not the greatest idea guys releasing a growler into the lcbo. Pour a bright gold, with a huge rocky white head. Aroma is stale hops, minimal floral notes, and as it warms some sulphur. Body and card are fine, surprisingly. Finish is quite bitter, with alot of wet paper, and crackery malts, and zero hops. Stick to serving this on tap. A month old growler that isn’t being refrigerated is a bad idea.

Very dark copper, with a two finger off white head. Sweet malty aroma, dark fruit, fruit cake, sweet bread, and some grassy hops. Mouth feel is very full, carb is normal. The finish is quite sweet, lots of dark fruit, sherry, and some rum soaked fruit cake. This is bordering on doppelbock territory. 8% for an oktoberfest is pretty high.

Copper pour, small head. A nice pie spice Aroma. Cinnamon, cardamon, and some nutmeg. This is nice for a chanhe, subtle pie spices to accent the nice sweat, bready malts of the base beer. More and more these pumpkin beers are smashing you over the head with these spice bombs that are undrknkable. The base beer is pleasant and malty, with a nice bready, caramel base and some chewy cereals. The hints of spice are welcome and keep me interested.

On tap at the raven and republic in north bay.
Copper pour, medium white head. Spocy, wheat aroma, light notes of paper, and some minerals, not super attractive. Flat mouth feel, soft carb. Papery finish, buttery wheat, light spicy hops. Meh.

Dark golden pour, with a medium off white head. Very grassy aroma, some nice grassy hops, some light pine, and some good bready, pale malts. the mouthfeel is a tad thick, but expected. The carb was low to medium, and pleasant. The finish is more grassy, slightly piney hops. The malts are quite nice, but quite sweet. Bready, biscuity, and slightly caramely. i really enjoyed this.

750ml bottle. Deep golden pour, small white head. Lovely sweet malts, nice grains, some breads, and some nice grassy hops, smells like saaz.
Good mouth feel, good carb. The finish is grassy, and a little fruity, alcohol is very well hidden. Low bitterness, slightly sweet, quite nice. But just like the china wall, this is a decent beer i would buy more of if they wernt $12 a bottle!

473ml can from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, big, fluffy, sticky head. Nice pils malt aroma, good cereals, a touch of sweet butter (diacetyl) but it does not detract too much from the beer. Some nice floral hops, lightly bitter finish. Nothing mind shatering, but they nailed what they were aiming for.

Dark ruby/amber pour, small white had. Aroma of dark, sweet, malts. Bread notes, nuts, and some grass. Nice mouth feel, a little creamy, soft to medium carbonation. Finish is medium bitter, with a nice nuttiness, and some grassy hops. a nice malty lager with a light hop presence.
