Keg at Sir John A, Ottawa. Clear copper colour, small head. Grapefruity nose with some caramel. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, grapefruit and tomato. Long bitter finish. Interesting hop flavours, but the caramelly tones are out of place.

Keg at Sir John A, Ottawa. Cloudy amber, minimal head. Tart nose with mild herbs and notes of caramel. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel and mild lactic tartness. Red berries, some bread, hints of citrus. Low-medium bitterness. Not what I expected.

Draft: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with some light citrus hops is quite refreshing. Taste is a mix of fruity ester with some citrusy hops and some sweet malt notes. Body si about average with good carbonation. Tasted more like a hoppy Belgian ale than a standard IPA but enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Enjoyed at the Brothers Beer Bistro. Pours a hazy caramel-amber colour with an off-white head, medium retention and light lacing. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast and bananas. Hints of caramel and citrus. Fruity tasting malts with the yeast and bananas again. Not your typical Dubbel, as missing some complexity, but a decent entry to the style.
