Description
Henderson Brewery was founded in 2013, after industry veterans and beer lovers Steve Himel and Adin Wener decided there was an opportunity to apply craft brewing values and techniques to more approachable beer styles, in order to make beer that anyone would be happy to find in their fridge day after day.
Work began on our Sterling Road brewery in the summer of 2015. In January 2016, we sold our first beer at The Rhino in Parkdale and by May of that year, our taproom and bottle shop were in full swing!
Over the past decade, we've brewed hundreds of different styles, hosted hundreds of thousands of people, packaged millions of litres of beer, and won dozens of brewing awards

473ml can. Pours a clear gold orange with a small, foamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy caramel malt, orange and grassy hops. Sweet, spicy flavour of bready rye malt, caramel, orange peel and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average to soft carbonation. Clean and easy to drink. Not bad for a boring style.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves thick, soapy curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of bready wheat malt, caramel, Belgian yeast, red apple and wood. Sweet fruity flavour of bready caramel malt, red grape, red apple, plum, orange flesh, Belgian yeast and wood in a dry, warming red wine finish. Medium to full body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice complexity and ABV is well hidden.

Clean (gets a little hazed after a few pours), dark brown colour with ruby-copper highlights. The big head is frothy, warm-beige, fizzing away slowly and leaving some thick foamy lacing. The porter aromas of roasted malts and dark fruits come out as a base. The taste shows the roasted barley with coffee notes and the artificial Graham cracker extracts seem to be gone from cellaring a bit too long. Some chocolate malts show up in the background. Hints of coconut. Wish it was a little more alcohol content to keep longer.

Lightly hazed, golden-amber colour with a frothy white cap, decent stay and thick foamy lacing. Barrel-wood is felt in the aromas with some grapes, nuttiness and grassiness. The taste is fairly sweet with raisins, some nice warming alcohol and enough hops to cut the sweetness. Not as syrupy because of this which is nice. Caramel malt base with orange notes that come out eventually. The Pinot Noir does add a lot in this one, so very special - and not one I would have a few of, as a touch to rich for my likings. Nice to try though.
