GBBF Day 1. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Not sure what hops this has been brewers with but they bring a lovely light floral lemon. A little lemon sherbet on the back end. Great cask lager, exceptional actually. So difficult to deliver good lager in cask.

Taste comprises dried fruit esters, cocoa sprinkle, modest barrel, spice, toffee. Full bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Passable offering ... sips ok but offers little depth for the hefty ABV.

Taster at brewery. Dark amber, patchy beige head. Light malty aroma. Taste brings a blend of cola and ginger ale, not much peat too this. WTF? Boozy notes do not mesh with the rest of the beer. More rum than bourbon.
