Deep golden pour, white head. Sweet notes of malts and booze, strong honey touch, faint fruity character. Long sweet finish, medium body, soft to normal carbonation. More of a barley wine imo, but a tasty brew nevertheless.

Copperish pour, off-white head. Nose is bittersweet malty and somewhat hoppy. Taste is low sweetness, unsophisticated hoppy bitterness. Medium bitterish, somewhat yeasty finish, light body, normal to high carbonation. Too messy and unsophisticated, not quite ‘lager-like’ altogether.

Ruby pour, no head. Nose is cherries, cake, lemon. Taste is sour notes first, lemon and lactic sourness, then some fruits and cake appear too. Long sour and fruity finish, light body, average carbonation. Not kidding, this is actually pretty sour.

Tap, bottle, minden is. Clean, deep golden pour, white head. Nose is honey, grassy hops, ight citric notes. Taste is rather bitter, grassy and herbal, perhaps somewhat citrusy, with some malts and a touch of honey again. A decent IPA - or at least is must've been in 2015, it's not as interesting nowadays imho, but still a well made brew.

Bottle at home. Pours deep mahogany brown, almost black in fact. Nose is intense dates, prunes, walnuts, light spicy touch, warming booze, sherry and poppy seed. Taste is sweet notes of booze, bready and nutty malts, dried fruits and faint spices, some chocolate even, pretty round and balanced. Closes with long lasting warming and sweet finish, has a full body and soft caronation. Always preferred the English iterations over the American versions when it comes to barley wines and this one's no exception either. Incredibly rich malty character and full body, pretty hecking tasty. It's not your usual boost-rate either, I do think it's one of the best MONYO beers to date.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Nose is light grassy hops, tropical fruity notes, with warming these latter become more prominent. Some citric character's also present. Taste is somewhat sweet fruity and floral notes, light candy sweetness, but the finish is surprisingly dry and somewhat bitter too. Closes with fruity hoppy finish, has light body and soft carbonation.
