Description
OUR REASON

We are a 30-barrel production brewery and tasting room located in Charlottesville, VA.

Reason Beer was born of 20 years of friendship and more than a decade of brewing between founders J. Patrick Adair, Jeff Raileanu, and Mark Fulton.

Since leaving Charlottesville in the early 2000s to pursue their education and careers, Mark, Jeff, and Patrick stayed in constant contact through a shared passion for beer and love for their hometown.

In 2017, after three years of careful planning, recipe development, and design, we have reconvened in Charlottesville to create a world-class brewery.

Reason Beer was founded by three lifelong friends returning home on a mission to make the world’s greatest craft beer. We strive to create beers that exemplify balance, creativity, and flavor.

$15 (I think) bomber from the brewery, shared with Drake. Aroma is funk, hay, barrel, earth, grasses. Flavor is funk, earth, barrel, green and brown leaf, lemon zest, green leaf. Good, but I should have aged it for a bit for the flavors to really pop.

Pounder: Piney nose, hints of gumball. Clear amber, thick head, nice lace. Pine. Light body, soft carbonation, a little watery. Hoppy, to the exclusion of any malt presence. Hopheads will love it.
