Description
At AEppelTreow (Apple True) we are growing the cidery business the hard way. With trees in the field and family on the bottling line. We make a wide range of styles: sparkling, draft, table, dessert and distilled. Mostly semi-dry. We have a load of fun making our products, and sharing them with you, while we educate you about the history of apples and alcohol.

Smells like it should be a cellar in West Virginia somewhere. Tastes like it fades a second after drinking it.

Can at La Boucherie in the Third Ward. Pint glass. Purple grape drank, ruby highlights. Currant nose, a little rose, basic sweet dessert apples. Inviting. Deep elderberry jam, overwhelming whatever currants there are. Second fiddle are the apples, offering basic tartness & a little lingering tannic skin. Otherwise, this is just a sweet juice bomb.

Bottle from Covenhoven. Baby Duvel @ home. Clear, pale gold Body. Short, hard burst of airy white head. Deeply sweet, syrupy, lightly floral nose. Bittersweet, leaning heavy on the sweet. Floral apple/pear/melon. Minerally, but oh so damn sweet. Syrupy body despite the strong carbonation. A bit disappointed. This was on my hitlist for so long. Drink it cold, drink it fast.

12 ounce can from the cidery, 9/2/18. Clear amber. Aroma of vinegar and sweet apples. Taste is cider apples, cider vinegar, spice. Medium bodied, juicy. A little messy but better than the sum of its parts.
