Batch #3, sampled at FoBAB. Pours black with just a little bit of brown showing through. Not much leg to the beer's foam, although that may be from the glass having been rinsed a couple of times. The smell is a nice, straight barley wine. I don't believe there's been much aging of bourbon or anything to that I may be wrong. But the taste is a solid whomp of barley malt. No extras or adjuncts in the way, which can be nice. A great aperitif style barley wine. Opens with a great smell, so we'll start with a 10 for aroma.

14 oz draft at Lowes Grocery. Geer, SC. Flavor is a blend of grapefruit and mild pine / herb. Lighter body with a nice hop profile. Does show a WC IPA feel to it. Nice 1st impression of this brewer.
