Tap at Bauhaus. Copper color. The malt flavor is right, some caramel and then dry malt flavor, made even dryer by the addition of hops, and it is a lot of hops for the style. Good beer.

Can. Pours a near clear light orange with an amber hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is very citrus forward that is quite bitter with a touch of sweetness and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has more of an earthy citrus note with a growing bitterness backed by straw and grains.

12 ounce can courtesy of TheHOFF43. Clear dark brown, large creamy dense tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke, coffee. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, smoke, caramel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry.

Can shared by jackl, 6/3/15. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of noble, grassy hops, pale malt. The taste is doughy malt, apples, noble hops. Medium bodied, well balanced, crisp, refreshing.

Sampled from the Firkin at Happy Gnome Firkin Fest 2015. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has notes of citrus and grapefruit peel with some cardamom, a bit of grass and a bread backbone. Flavor is extremely heavy on the cardamom with some grapefruit, sweet citrus and grains backing.

Sampled from the Firkin at Happy Gnome Firkin Fest 2015. Pours a hazy deep amber brown with a yellowish head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a bit of vanilla and oak with some sweet grains as well as a touch of rye. Flavor combines vanilla and dark grains with some supporting oak and rye.

Shaker pint draft at Bauhaus Brew Labs in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is a hazed copper golden with a smallish white head. The aroma is cereal grain, clean citrus and earth hops. The taste is more of the hops with soft tropical fruit and the cereal grain to nicely balance the clean flavors. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and a hoppy mineral finish. Rating update for improvement. (7,4,7,4,14 - 3.6)

12 oz can purchased at MGM Liquors in Golden Valley, Minnesota. The pour is a clear golden copper with a ½ inch white head that falls quickly. The aroma is bitter grass, touch of pine and a resin malt. The taste is a sharp bitterness right away, pine resin along with a bit of a metallic flavor. Under the bite of the hops is cracker crystal malt character. The palate is medium to light bodied, average carbonation and a dry bitter finish. Decently made, too much bitter expression for my personal preference. (6,4,6,3,13 - 3.2)

Pours a cola-black, with little by way of head. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, licorice. Flavor includes hints of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, plum/prune, some licorice. Middling sweet and very smooth finish.

Can. Quite hoppy nose, Nelson Sauvin I would guess. Grapefruit, herbs, a touch of cat piss. Light malt. Deep golden color, clear. Flavor is a bit creamy, with a cedar note, lemony, peppery. Very interesting take on a Svelty. Good stuff.

Sampled at festival. I liked this. Some caramel, a surprisingly sweet heller bock, good palate, and a good amount of hops. Better than most heller bocks.
