On tap in Trieste-Italy at Mastri d’Arme, with Dimitrij. Huge thanks to Riccardo the publican for being so helpful in proving details. Hazy amber/orange pour, crazy ivory/yellowish head. Nice. Mouth: super fresh, resinous with an orangey finish. Bravo!

Handpump at MastroBirrario, Trieste. Roast, preserved fruit, berry, light citrus. Cloudy red brown, golden cream, great counter bubbles from the beer machine. Medium body, chewy dry, mellow mouthfeel. Light Demerara sugar, fruit/berries, salt, a hint barrel, still fresh hops cut through, low oxidation. Great balance full flavor, nice!

Bottle. Light catty, leafy herbal citric aroma. Cloudy pale yellow, offwhite lace. Mesdium light body Ok pale ale, lacks definition for a Kölsch.

Bottle. Maltier richer, nose, now you smell the beer as opposed to the whiskey in the highland version. Darker than the other one. Base beer shines through more which makes it better. Berries, melonoidin, light iodine/salt finish Medium light body, lacks the last bit of chewiness. Francesco is not happy though.

Bottle. Dark ruddy brown, offwhite lace. Clear whiskey aroma, almond, light metallic, punchy. Medium body, chewy, whiskey adds substance. Malty, oat base, slight oxidized notes, grassy citric hops.
