Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark, clear mahogany color with a medium head. Poor head retention and thin wisps of lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, vanilla and a subtle hint of bourbon. The taste has more bourbon presence, along with caramel, roasted malts and some subtle hops. Medium bodied.

Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark cola brown color with a medium creamy head, good head retention and not so good lacing. Toffee aroma with some raisin and corn notes. Big raisin in the taste with some roasted malts and molasses. Slightly bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. One of their better brews I’ve tried so far and quite interesting.

Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery that was significantly underfilled, only up to the very bottom of the bottle neck. Fortunately this didn’t seem to affect the beer too much. Pours an ugly hazy light brown color with poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malts with mild fruity hop notes. Grainy malts in the taste with light hops and notes of green apple, caramel and subtle cheesy notes. Medium bodied.

Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a golden color with a medium head, average head retention and poor lacing. Slightly sweet malty aroma with slight corn and bitter hop notes. The taste is fairly bitter leafy hops with some metallic notes and sweet malts that develop into more of a corny note as the beer warms, leading to a flavor profile very similar to cream soda. Thin to medium bodied.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with not much head. Slightly buttery and very malty aroma with fairly strong spice notes, particularly cinnamon and orange peel. Taste is lots of brown sugar well balanced with lots of spices. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture.
