Pounder from Appalachian. Pint glass @home. Hazy, dull, pale gold, almost non-existent head. Smell is generic sourness & sulfur with an odd ashy/cigarette mimicry. Some sugar & pie crust once it warms up. Taste is soggy pie crust, lime juice, semi-sweet apple concentrate, nasty fake creme, bitter chem, some malic tartness on the finish. Slick, soda carbonation, high-ish acid. Disgusting.

Single from Appalachian. Pint glass @home. Quick rise & falling head. Opaque, gold, silent. Smell is incredibly strong. Big vanilla & rosemary of all things. Cardamom is actually really bold & beautiful. Smells like a great mulled cider, except, it's cold. Taste is their basic house cider, maybe. Flabby, three quarters sweet, leafy, juicy, malic acid raging hard. Spices are there, but mellower. Vanilla & cardamom seriously linger. I really feel like I should start boiling this on the stove. Can't fault this too much. Okay carbonation, thick, spice isn't dusty. This was honestly good.

Sampler from the tap room in Hendersonville. Pale straw pour. Dusty yeast & bittersweet apple scent. Taste is Granny tart, but subtler than anticipated. Yeasty, slightly soapy, chalky, just tart enough. We thought this one was okay. **Notes from Aug 2018**

Sampler from the tap room in Hendersonville. A rich, peach-colored brew. Smell is deep, dried blueberry & boxed apple juice. Boxed apple with bitter, astringent pith that lingers. Blueberry tastes artificially enhanced. Carbonation is much the same. Astringency keeps it from being syrupy. **Notes from Aug 2018***
