pitch black. nice alcohol legs. Smells like hershey’s chocolate syrup. dense thick carbonation, licorice, spice, cardamom and pepper with some unsweetened chocolate. it is just not great.

Bottle - Nice sweet roast. Jet black with a decent light beige head. Big dark roast with some boozy hot bitterness.

Bottle at the RBSG Lobby Share. Pours a dark brown with no head. The aroma is smoke, roast, wood. Thick, chewy, roast, light booze, very good.

Drank at their pub. More of a full bodied beer compared to their others, has nice mild cinnamon/nutmeg flavours that I think are balanced with the alcohol nicely. But the same off flavour (tannins) that is in their other beers is still here, just a bit more hidden. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank at their pub. Low IBUs (19) but still quite bitter due to off flavours, I drank their beer about three years ago and had hoped that they would have improved the process. But it's the same. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Green chilli and some pale malts. Hazy light gold with a thin white head. Green chilli and a ton of heat on the throat and tongue. Too much physical heat.

Draft - Raisin, plum and cake. Clear maroon with a rich brown head. Raisin bread and dark malts. Long malty fruity finish.

Draft - Sweet orange and grapefruit, with a rich sweet ale malt backbone. Clear gold with a rich beige head. Sweet lemon drop candy, grapefruit and a decent bitterness. A bit sweet, but nice.
