Southern Grist Brewing Company is a neighborhood brewery operating taprooms in East Nashville and the Nations.
We opened our doors in February 2016 and have been making out-of-the-box flavors and styles of craft beer ever since. We focus on creating unique beers with the utmost quality and we look forward to welcoming you into our taprooms!

Very rich, roasty porter, full of unsweetened chocolate and caramel and a touch of cola, followed by a firm mocha bitterness and lingering java roast in the fade. Thick texture adds to the bounty. Nice pint.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head, doesn't last. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fairly rich dark malts, light mouthfeel but, rich dark chocolate. Even for this brewery, this one is very very Bourbon dominant. Ripe fruity bourbon, a rich and complex fruit cake. Bourbon spice and a hint of bourbon eaters. Light smooth semi dry finish shows a fair amount of bourbon spice. Very very Bourbon! Good fun!

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear brown beer, small and very short lived tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation works well here. Soft dark malts, a decent dark chocolate and mild coffee. Once again with this brewery, Bourbon is front and centre. No complaints from me! Rich ripe fruity bourbon, some ripe fruity oak vanilla. Modest bourbon spice. Airy smooth finish. Another great bourbon delivery mechanism from this brewery!

Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque black brown beer, a little oily looking, a small bubbly dark tan head. Airy palate, smooth, reasonable carbonation, commensurate with the style. Soft but rich dark malts, a good dark chocolate streak along with a little chocolate syrup from an ice cream van. Big fruity bourbon, a little raw and spicy bourbon that is ultimately softened by vanilla oak barrel. Rich bourbon fruity and spicy finish. Rich fruit cake linger. Bourbon BA Impies are hardly a new thing but, boy does this brewery do them right if you like them weighted at the bourbon end.

16oz can from Tavour. Very dark brown pour, tan head settles down after a bit. Nice roasty aroma with a fair amount of bitterness. Taste is roasty, burnt toast, mild bitterness with some sweetness at the finish.

Come on England!! ??????????????????New brewery ? Sabro prominence in the house, loads of pina colada vibes, lots of pineapple, some passionfruit and stonefruit notes of nectarine and peach, soft malty with a nice mouthfeel, solid hoppy close.

Nose is punchy bourbon, spice, dark malts, dried fruits, sultanas, chocolate crisp, lightly singed brown sugars.
Taste comprises brown sugar melt, spice, mellow roast, burnt toffee, charr, bourbon rinse.
Full bodied, light oily feel, light drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy punchy bourbon xoaked impy.
