Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a clear golden hue with a small white head. A sour funky bretty nose. Vinous, deep dark fruit, some oak, toast and grains. Pretty nice. Balanced and drinkable. Nice.

Sampled on draft at Independent Brewing this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was yeast, sugar toasty malts, dark fruit and a bit of medicine. The flavor was bitterish and astringent with an odd herbal and medicinal note followed by cedar, molasses and dark fruit. Very long finish with a boozy presence coming out. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing given that this is a preferred brewer and style for me.

The finest beer I have had in over 12 months. +++ Sampled on draft at Piper’s this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong bourbon and toasted coconut with pineapple and apricot notes. The flavor was very sweet and strong with a delightful mix of bourbon, toasted coconut, pineapple upside down cake, toasty malts, and raisin. Amazingly long finish. Moderately full bodied and very smooth. Lots of bourbon flavor but not boozy - no alcohol bite. Marvelous!!
