Sampled on cask at Pipers this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy beige head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was cola, malty and a bit of wood. The flavor was toasty malts, coffee, wood and a hint of cream. Medium length finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Decent.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark brown color with red highlight and a medium sized foamy-soapy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was bourbon, cherry, toffee, nut and a bit of astringency. The flavor was tart and sour cherry, nut, tobacco and whiskey. Long finish. Medium body. Decent but somewhat disappointing.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy brown head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was strong whiskey, coconut, sweet malt and a touch of black licorice. The flavor was sweet and malty with strong toasted coconut then whiskey, a boozy bite then toasty malts and nut. Incredibly long finish. Moderately full bodied and silky. Excellent

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a murky peach color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was musty, yeasty and a bit earthy with faint golden fruit and hints of funk and egg white. The flavor was tangy and sweetish with golden fruit followed by a dryish and earthy presence that leads to yeast and cracker. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

The aroma was sweet and tangy with notes of orange marmalade and yeast. The flavor was sweet and malty with honey, caramel and orange marmalade. Long finish. Medium bodied and. Excellent.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with an enormous fluffy dark tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dryish, roasty and a bit dusty with a fairly strong cocoa note. The flavor was dry and malty with marshmallow, cream, cocoa, toasty malts and a bit of dust. Long marshmallow and cocoa finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Quite nice.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a cloudy Yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart, sour and dry with pineapple and lemon. The flavor was sour, astringent and chalky with a hint salt and pineapple. Medium length finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Enjoyed on tap at Roundabout Brewery in Pittsburgh, PA while on a recent tour, unfortunately didn’t have the chance to take tasting notes, but I remember this being absolutely fantastic. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to make it back to this brewery.

Sampled on draft at Independent Brewing this beer poured a brown color with bright orange highlights and a small tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was malty with a strong golden fruit presence. The flavor was malty with caramel, strong golden fruits, tobacco and cedar. Long finish. Medium body. Well Done.
