Pours a clear garnet/brown with a solid finger of foam and excellent lacing.
It has a nose of brown sugar, toasted malt, and more than a hint of hop bitterness.
Tastes like it smells if not as vibrant. I get some nutty notes to go with the brown sugar taste and there’s a decent bitter flavour here and there. Still, from the smell, I expected more.
Good mouthfeel, good drinkability.
Overall, I am quite pleased with this Alt. --- Beer merged from original tick of Altbier on 15 Oct 2015 at 19:04 - Score: 7. Original review text: Rich with the caramel malt but distinctly hoppy. Not much like Uerige beers but enjoyable.

12 ounce can.
It pours a 24 k gold, it is clear, and does well with the lacing/foam.
I am picking up a lot of caramel malt with some grain and some noble hop bitterness.
Almost balanced taste with the caramel malt and grain just winning out over the tasty hop bitter notes.
Good body, good drinkability, pretty crisp.
It’s an enjoyable beer.
