Bottle courtesy of a stranger at WOB. The beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 oz draft at Rendezous BBQ in Memphis. Pour is clear golden amber with a smallish dirty white head. Aroma is ever so faint bitter hops along with a touch of toasted caramel sweet malt. The taste is pretty weak, though clean - featuring the caramel sweetness, toasted cracker malt up front and a very mild bitterness in the back. This is much more malt than hops. Palate is light bodied, bordering on watery, a touch under carbonated, easy enough to drink. A welcome (small) step above bog standard macro at a great BBQ spot.

Originally rated June 2010. Tried this one at B.B King’s Blues Club in downtown Memphis on my trip to Tennessee. Pours a clean copper colour with an off-white head that is creamy and offers good lacing. The carbonation is pretty vivid and the mouthfeel is medium-thin. Malty nose with slight fruit. Very light tasting with mild bitterness in the finish. An easier drinking lighter Pale Ale.
