Very hop-forward for a pils, with a front offering moderate citrus and pine notes, leading to a dry, herbal finish. Lacks the subtle grainy/fruity sweetness on the back end you want from the style. Kind of a cross between an Italian pilsner and a session IPA. Skippable.

On tap at The Chimes - East, pours an opaque milky yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma is chalk galore, with citrus zest, muddled earthy hops and yeast soup. Flavour is tropical fruity but massively chalky — so much hopburn that drowns out the tropical fruit. So pithy and gritty. Fuck off. How can this be acceptable to sell? Not good.

On tap at Red River, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, some light chalk, and dusty biscuity malt. Flavour is dry, with dull floral hops, some earthiness, and biscuity malt. Clean and drinkable enough, just not that interesting hop-wise. Pleasant.

On tap at Great Raft, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is hot, with roasted malt and some tropical fruits that are buried. Flavour is extremely fruity, with tons of passionfruit, pineapple, who knows what else, along with a big roasted malt base and plenty of booze. Interesting idea to brew up a massive stout and chuck tropical fruit in it. Not the most refined heavy stout, but it's fun stuff, drinkable only in tiny quantities.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is dominated by bourbon, with plenty of vanillins, perfume, and booze. Flavour is a bit of a trainwreck: the bourbon comes across as boozy perfumey more than actual smooth bourbon — is that due a bad quality bourbon or something wrong with the barrel aging? The coffee is drowned out and the body is syrupy. This isn't good.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of coffee, moderate sugars, and a hint of dark fruitiness. Flavour is a little drier than expected, with plenty of lightly sweetness coffee, light roast, and some bready malt. Finishes dry and malty, with plenty of coffee character. Drinks light for being 8%. Good.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma sure brings out that funky brett, with a tropical fruit character, citrus and biscuity malt. Flavour is funky and fruity, with intense brett, citrusy earthy hops, and tropical stone fruits. The bitterness is a bit overly sharp and not combined with the brett all that harmoniously. But it still works to some extent.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out an earthy, medium roasted malt, with a nice dryness to it. Flavour is dry and toasty, with a nice earthy, dry, toasted malt character, and a touch of dry cocoa powder. Smooth and rounded, with good drinkability. Nice stuff.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet citrusy gummy candies, tart guava, saline and salt. Flavour is sweet and candied, with light citrus, saline, and sweet gummy candies. What the hell? Why so sweet? This is totally off-point and not very pleasant.

On tap at Great Raft, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet candied watermelon, salt, and tangy citrus. Flavour is less sweet, with plenty of tangy watermelon, salt, and citrus. There's style that candied character, which needs to be gotten rid of. It's alright.
