Bottle pour from the brewery. Opaque dark brown with no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, rye whiskey. Taste is sweet roasted malt, rye bourbon. Smooth, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Nice balance, decent strength.

Bottle pour from the brewery. Virtually opaque brown w/nice viscosity, trace lacing. Aroma is strong peaty/roasted malt, spicy rye. Taste is strong roasted malt, mild peat, toffee, rye, bourbon. Smooth, slightly frothy, no sign of alcohol. Better balanced than previous variants today.

Sample at GTMW 2024, 8/10/24. Hazy orange, large tan head, average retention. Aroma of candied orange, pineapple, pale malt. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, orange. Lingering bitterness.

4 oz. pour on tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Clear gold, no sparkle, thick head w/excellent retention & soapy lacing. Aroma is strong blondie w/extra chocolate chips. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, medium body, finish as taste. Delicious dessert stout.

4 oz. pour at the brewery. Virtually opaque dark brown with thin cap of head with good retention and soapy lacing. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, mild cinnamon and spice. Taste is strong cinnamon, chile spice, vanilla, chocolate. Smooth, thick texture, pleasant chile spicy heat, average carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Nice Mexican hot chocolate contributions without being overpowering. Nice!

4 oz. pour at the brewery. Opaque, inky black with nice viscosity, ring of head and no lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon, mild spice, oak. Taste is bourbon, oak, milder toffee and hint of dark fruit. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Nice balance and strength but not as good as Woodford version.
